Section 1:
MusicBrainz is an open music encyclopedia that collects music metadata and makes it available to the public. It aims to be the ultimate source of music information by allowing anyone to contribute and releasing the data under open licenses. It also wants to be the universal lingua franca for music by providing a reliable and unambiguous form of music identification. MusicBrainz is maintained by a global community of users and encourages everyone to participate and contribute.
Section 2:
MusicBrainz App is designed to view release information by scanning a barcode, search for information about artists, releases, release groups, labels, recordings, instruments, and events, view collections, tag audio files like Picard, send Releases to your Picard, and donate to the MetaBrainz Foundation. It captures information about artists, their recorded works, and the relationships between them. Recorded works entries capture at a minimum the album title, track titles, and the length of each track.
Section 3:
The source code for this app is available on GitHub and it uses icons designed by Freepik and Flaticon. It also leverages the Spotify Android SDK for playing tracks. MusicBrainz is maintained by volunteer editors who follow community written style guidelines. Recorded
